Referral Program Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 30, 2026
These terms are issued by EventPass Ticketing Limited, a company registered in Jamaica, and govern participation in the EventPass Promoter Referral Program (the "Referral Program"). By generating or using a referral link, or by signing up through one, you agree to these terms in addition to the EventPass Promoter Agreement and Terms of Service.
1. Overview
The Referral Program allows any promoter with an EventPass account to share a unique referral link with prospective promoters. When someone signs up through that link and meets the qualification requirements below, the referring promoter earns credit toward their own future carousel banner and promo video fees. Participation in the Referral Program is separate from, and does not itself confer, Founding Promoter status.
2. Eligibility to Refer
- Any promoter with an active EventPass promoter profile is automatically assigned a unique referral link and code, and may share it with others.
- Self-referrals are not permitted. A referral is blocked and no credit is ever generated if the referring code and the new signup resolve to the same person, the same underlying account, or the same set of identifying information (including but not limited to matching payment details, device, or verification documents).
- A person may only be attributed to one referral. If someone signs up through a referral link, that referral is fixed to whichever code they used at signup and cannot later be reassigned, transferred, or claimed by a different referrer.
- EventPass may deny, reverse, or decline to award a referral where there is a reasonable basis to suspect abuse, manipulation, fraud, or an attempt to circumvent these terms, including the creation of accounts for the primary purpose of generating referral credit.
3. Qualification Requirements
A referral becomes eligible for credit only once ALL of the following conditions are met, within 60 days of the referred person's signup (or such other period as EventPass may set and publish from time to time):
- The referred person signs up for an EventPass promoter account through the referrer's unique link or code.
- The referred person completes and submits promoter verification, and that verification is approved by EventPass.
- The referred person creates and publishes a legitimate event on EventPass — meaning a genuine, real-world event, not a test, placeholder, duplicate, or event created principally to trigger referral credit. EventPass reserves sole discretion to determine whether an event is legitimate for the purposes of this program.
If any condition is not met within the qualification window, the referral does not qualify and no credit is generated, regardless of whether the referred person later meets the conditions outside that window.
4. When Credit Is Awarded
Credit is not granted at signup, at verification, or at the moment the referred promoter's qualifying event is published. Credit is only added to the referrer's balance after that qualifying event has actually concluded (i.e., the event's scheduled date and time has passed). If the qualifying event is later found not to be legitimate, is removed, or is cancelled before it concludes, no credit will be issued for that referral.
5. Credit Amount
- A promoter who currently holds Founding Promoter status earns the Founding referral rate for each qualifying referral.
- A promoter who does not hold Founding Promoter status earns a lower, standard referral rate for each qualifying referral.
- The applicable rate is determined by the referrer's own status at the time credit is actually awarded (see Section 4), not at the time the referral was made or qualified.
- Current rates are published on the Founding Promoters page and in each promoter's dashboard, and may be changed by EventPass at any time on a going-forward basis. A rate change never retroactively alters credit already awarded for a referral rewarded before the change.
- There is no limit on the number of promoters a single person may refer or the total credit they may accumulate.
6. How Credit May Be Used
- Referral credit may be used in two ways only: (a) applied, automatically, toward a promoter's own future carousel banner and promo video fees on EventPass, where it may cover up to the full fee due after any other applicable discount (including the Founding Promoter discount, where applicable); or (b) cashed out to the promoter's own JMD bank account as described below.
- Cash-out: a promoter whose credit balance is at least J$5,000 (or such other minimum as EventPass publishes) may request a payout from the Referrals tab of their Promoter Dashboard. The request covers the full available balance, requires a JMD bank account on file, and is subject to EventPass review and approval; payouts are never automatic. No fees or withholding are charged by EventPass on credit payouts. Approved payouts are sent to the promoter's JMD bank account, and a rejected or cancelled request returns the amount to the promoter's credit balance.
- Credit cannot be gifted, sold, or transferred to any other person or account, and cannot be exchanged for anything other than as described above.
- Credit does not expire while a promoter's account remains active and in good standing, but EventPass reserves the right to introduce an expiry period in the future, with reasonable advance notice published on this page.
- Credit is not a deposit, security, or financial instrument of any kind, and does not earn interest. EventPass may withhold or reverse credit, or refuse a payout, where it was obtained through fraud, self-referral or breach of these terms.
7. Auditing and Record-Keeping
EventPass maintains a record of every referral and every change to a promoter's credit balance, including automatic credit awards, credit spent toward fees, and any manual adjustment made by EventPass. A promoter may request a summary of their own referral and credit history through their dashboard or by contacting support.
8. Suspension, Reversal, and Termination
- EventPass may suspend, reverse, or void any referral, credit award, or credit balance, in whole or in part, where it reasonably determines that these terms have been violated, that fraud or abuse has occurred, or that a referral or its qualifying event was not legitimate.
- EventPass may suspend or terminate a promoter's participation in the Referral Program, including forfeiture of an unused credit balance, if the promoter's account is suspended, terminated, or found to be in violation of the Promoter Agreement or Terms of Service.
- EventPass may modify, pause, or discontinue the Referral Program, or any part of it (including credit amounts, the qualification window, the maximum credit coverage percentage, or eligibility rules), at any time, for any reason, with changes taking effect on a going-forward basis. Referrals that have already been fully rewarded under Section 4 are not affected by a later change.
9. Relationship to Founding Promoter Status
The Referral Program is open to all promoters and is independent of Founding Promoter status. Referring other promoters does not itself make a promoter a Founding Promoter, and does not reserve or guarantee a Founding Promoter slot for the referrer or the person referred. Founding Promoter status has its own separate qualification requirements, described on the Founding Promoters page.
10. General
These terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica. EventPass may update these terms from time to time; continued participation in the Referral Program after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you have questions about the Referral Program, please contact us through the Support page.
